It's Night.
You are deep in the heart of the elven forest.
The magnificent trees of Elohim stretch straight and tall into the soft
darkness of the night. Suspended high above your head, the aerial elven
village hangs lightly under the canopy, supported by large numbers of
ingeniously placed ropes. The village is lit by the soft yellow light
given off by many fiery torches placed along the platform walkways. To the
north, south, east and west are large buildings made from dark grey
granite rock. In the middle point between these buildings is a large
circular stone, with something engraved on it. Next to the stone stands a
huge red cedar tree. Snaking up the massive trunk of the cedar tree is
sturdy set of steps leading up to the elven city. To the northwest and
northeast two forest paths lead off into the distance. On a tree at the
side you can see a list.
You can leave: north, northeast*, east, south, west, northwest*, up.
A basket, a donation box, a winch and a wooden box containing newspapers.
Gilgalad[mage].

You mentally greet Yuppie, Gilgalad.

You slide your legs to a side and dismount Yuppie.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Hello

You say in xyllic: Hihi! Hey, can you tell me something?

You emote: Blue holds up her hands.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I can try.

You say in xyllic: Look at me, and tell me if you see fingers or falcon
talons.

Gilgalad looks at you.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I see gauntlets

Hmmmmm.

You start to concentrate upon the ability.
Your bare hands are transforming into falcon-like talons!

You say in xyllic: How about now?

Gilgalad looks at you.
Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Now i see talons

You clumsily try to wield a weapon but you are unable to hold them
with your claws.

Your claws are transforming back to normal hands.

You clumsily try to wield a weapon but you are unable to hold them
with your claws.

You sigh annoyedly.

You say in xyllic: I guess I got too used to transforming my hands.

You say in xyllic: I hope this doesn't make letter writing difficult .-)

Gilgalad comforts you.

You say in xyllic: How are you doing?

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: not good

You raise an eyebrow.

You say in xyllic: Why? Something happen?

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: No, can't say that.

You emote: Blue rubs her chin and thinks.

You say in xyllic: Something important NOT happen?

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: sort of

You say in xyllic: Wanna tell me about it or not?

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Well, there is not much to say.

You say in xyllic: What was it, that you were waiting for?

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: It is just that someone i would like to
appear, does not appear.

You say in xyllic: Ohhh!

You think about it, then it dawns on you! Your face brightens!
You nod understandingly.

You say in xyllic: You mean, the recipient of that beautiful ring, I guess.

Gilgalad nods sadly.
You comfort Gilgalad.

You say in xyllic: Don't be too downcast .. perhaps she just had some
unexpected business with her family.

Gilgalad shrugs helplessly.

You say in xyllic: Besides, I don't think she'd really be happy, if she knew
you were sad on her account. No real friend would be, ne?

You smile encouragingly.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I don't know.

You say in xyllic: Huu, although I don't know this girl, I bet you 5 plats
she would want you to be having fun, even though she's not by your side right
now.

You emote: Blue scrunches her eyebrows.

You say in xyllic: Although the mage definition of "fun" can sometimes be
strange .-)

You twinkle your eyes merrily.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I don't know anything right now that would
be fun.

You say in xyllic: Oh come on, everybody knows something that makes them feel
better here!

Gilgalad's eyes narrow and focus onto some point in midair.
Gilgalad sadly shakes his head.

You frown. Is something wrong?

You say in xyllic: You're a tough nut to crack, ya know!

You say in xyllic: Well, if there's anything I can do to help you, all you
need is to ask.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Mages have much discipline ...

You say in xyllic: And psionics don't?

You snort loudly.
You emote: Blue looks huffed.

Gilgalad's facial features become tense for a moment.

You say in xyllic: Hey hey, I could try testing your discipline, if you like!

You twinkle your eyes evilly.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I doubt you will be successful.

You say in xyllic: Woo! A challenge! Can I can I??

You excitedly hop around.

Gilgalad's facial features become tense for a moment.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Do whatever pleases you.

You say in xyllic: Uh! I better sell all this stuff first before I try .-)

You emote: Blue juggles with some sharp pointy objects.

You say in xyllic: Excuse me one moment!

You walk up to the curtain, and swish it aside with a push of your hand.

// here I sell stuff, blah blah blah //

Gilgalad[mage].
Yuppie.

You say in xyllic: Okay! Here goes nothin' ...

You start to concentrate upon the ability.

You implant the emotion fear into Gilgalad.
Gilgalad screams loudly.
Gilgalad walks up to the curtain, and swishes it aside with a push of his
hand.
Gilgalad skips out north.
It gets darker.

You start to concentrate upon the ability.
You tell Gilgalad: score!!!

You walk up to the curtain, and swish it aside with a push of your hand.
The Outfitter in the Forest of Elohim.
Glancing around the room, the huge granite counter in the centre captures
your attention. Mounted on the western wall behind it is a big shelf, made
from deep mahogony, on which the shop's wares. Pictures line the eastern
wall, displaying scenes of live in the forest of Elohim. The whole room
seems to be made of one block of grey granite rock. There are only two
openings in this pure granite. A window in the east wall and the door you
just used.
You can leave: south.
Argo the outfitter.
Gilgalad[mage].

You emote: Blue dances a little victory jig.

You say in xyllic: Booyaka! But it's only fair, that you get to try too :-)
You smile.

// cue crickets chirping in background for 5 minutes or so //

You say in xyllic: uh ..

You peer intently at Gilgalad. Hmm...

You say in xyllic: I didn't turn your brain into mush, did I?!

// more crickets //

PANIC!!!!!

You emote: Blue thinks . o O (Shit, now the mages are REALLY gonna kill me!!)

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: not more than usually

You sigh relievedly.

You say in xyllic: Geez! Don't scare me like that!

You say in xyllic: Well .. actually .. I guess you can once, as revenge. But
still!!! Only once!

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I doubt i will be successful.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: I am not very skilled with it.

You say in xyllic: I meant pretending that your brain turned into mush!!!

You emote: Blue looks doubly huffed now.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Oh, that. Well ...

You smile.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Well, somehoe i don't need to pretend.

Gilgalad seems to be slightly unaware of his surroundings for a moment.

You say in xyllic: Come now, if your brain was really mush, the mages
wouldn't have you.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: Once you are in, it is not easy to be
thrown out, just because of a mushed brain.

You nod thoughtfully.

Gilgalad seems to be slightly unaware of his surroundings for a moment.

You say in xyllic: By the way, I think you should be able to go back now, if
you want.

Gilgalad says silently in xyllic: hmm, yes. Not very entertaining here

Gilgalad walks up to the curtain, and swishes it aside with a push of his
hand.

Gilgalad skips out south.
It gets darker.

You walk up to the curtain, and swish it aside with a push of your hand.

Gilgalad[mage].
Yuppie.

You say in xyllic: Well, I have proof that you are not mush-brained yet.

You say in xyllic: Definite proof.

You emote: Blue points on her finger.

Gilgalad raises his eyebrow.

You say in xyllic: For one, I am just as disciplined as you, as I just proved.

You emote: Blue points on her second finger.

You say in xyllic: For two, you are still a tough nut to crack.

You emote: Blue points on her third finger.

You say in xyllic: Therefore, you must have enough coherence about you to not
be a mush-brain.

You smile triumphantly.

You say to Gilgalad in xyllic: I'm right, aren't I!

Gilgalad says to you in xyllic: Yes, probably.

You emote: Blue facefaults and trips.

Gilgalad seems to be slightly unaware of his surroundings for a moment.

You say in xyllic: Man, trying to get you to be enthusiastic about anything
is like trying to teach a rock to sing!
