NEW JUDGE ELECTED IN PADORN

Primordia's capital has recently elected a new
judge, in an effort to reform the legal system.
Blue Du'Sonsa, an elven psionic, replaces the
former judge Alhana FalconArm, an elven cleric
of Rokoon. With the new judge comes a new set
of laws and legal standards, all of which are
readily available at the Padorn courthouse
library.

Padorn's legal system has been plagued by
controversy ever since the infamous reign of
Padorn Pickpocket Stomp le Gomp, whose notorious
and well-known embezzlement had cost the court
in excess of 1,000 platinum coins.

In an effort to end corruption, then Master of
the Rolls Bedwyr DiMalaEspina removed the vote
box from the courthouse, and attempted to install
a one-man "ruler" from the supposed Leflaklas
house of nobility. These plans fell through,
however, when public outcries by outraged citizens
who had no say in the matter brought about an end
to Leflaklas' reign. The matter was closed when
Leflaklas himself defaulted on loan payments for
his Padorn residence, while continuing to run his
highly suspect and profitable trading empire,
"House Haftam."

When the vote box was finally returned, the legal
system seemed to be operating successfully once
more, under the supervision of such judges as
Parsivale and Shiann. More recently, Alhana
Falconarm was elected to continue the restoration
and reform of Padorn's legal system. While getting
off to a good start, more controversy ensued over
her harsh policies against followers of certain
deities, and questions over the borders of Padorn's
jurisdiction. Eventually, the court succumed to
a lack of activity and stagnation.

Today, efforts to restore Padorn's frayed legal
system are being led by Blue Du'Sonsa, the current
elected judge of Padorn. Only time can tell, however,
if the seemingly "cursed courts" of Padorn can really
recover, and re-establish itself as a respected and
working legal system of Xyllomer once more.
